Health and Safety

In the studio or on location safety is very important. To prevent damage to yourself, other or equipment you should:

  • Make sure that all wires are neat, this in case of someone tripping on them and hurting themselves
  • In case of a fire or a needed use for an emergency exit, signs must be prominent
  • Food and drink are a huge hazard around electrical equipment
  • In a studio the kit can get hot, so don't touch bulbs that have been on for a while in case of burning yourself. As well as this, they are very bright so its important to try and not look at them or for too long and don't shine bright lights at others.
  • If you require help, you can always ask for it even more so when lifting heavy items.
  • overcrowding in small spaces. In the studio it can get crowded, it is easy for people to get in the way so keep the number of people to a minimum.
