Unit 1 - Task 1 Notes
- jump cuts between a four shot and a shot that tilts up the side of the building and aims at the sun, this creates lens flare
- sound is diegetic, strange drone in the background. most likely machinery. dialogue is mumbled, they take drugs, effects the way they speak. distant narration. philosophical speech talking about Jesus being crucified and coming back
- close up on woman face narrating (this non-diegetic sound becomes diegetic. camera aimed up at her looking down. is she reading?
shot of sun, quickly zooms in and blurs intensely to warm colour shot
- shot of man with his face against statue "shut up". very quick
HAND HELD CAMERA
- almost montage with quick shots with narration still going on over the top. women getting undressed in the graveyard, low angle shots, zooms out from the cross and fish eye lens
makes you aware that you're watching a film rather than being immersed in their world, it pushes you back. the directors do things that isn't textbook
